KL office

interior/ 2015.11 / HANGZHOU, CHINA ,

The project is an office of a company which is founded by an “After 1980” (refers to the young generation who were born after 1980 in China). The office occupies one floor of a typical office building in the center. Our idea is to design a playful and highly functional office space, blending with the young, vibrant company culture.

Different geometrical spaces bring people different psychological effects. For example, round-table makes it easier for users to form a psychological equal relationship, thus, communication will be more smooth and relaxed. While rectangular or square table, due to its structure for “face to face” communication, is more suitable to use for the occasions like a formal dining or meeting. Based on the idea of using the unconscious impacts caused by different geometric spaces, we made delicate designs that considered many aspects like psychological effect, sound insulation effect, visual effect and so on. The intention can be seen from furnitures and other small-scale objects to wall, ceiling and other large-scale elements in the entire design process.

In the large office space of 1000m², small places with different characteristics are placed intentionally spread, aiming to create an opportunity for employees to communicate actively, thus increasing high efficiency in work.
